Capilano

The Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is located on the north part of Vancouver in Canada. Originally built in 1889, Capilano Suspension Bridge stretches 450 feet (137m) across and 230 feet (70m) above Capilano River. Since then much has been added to the twenty-seven acre park.

Clif Walk is the park’s newest attraction – a cantilevered walkway clinging to the granite cliff high above Capilano Canyon.

Treetops Adventure, seven suspension bridges through the evergreens taking you up to 100 feet (30m) above the forest floor, offers a unique squirrel’s eye perspective of the forest. Guided nature tours, the Kids’ Rainforest Explorer program and the Living Forest exhibit enhance this unique rainforest encounter. Enjoy seasonal musical entertainment and First Nations culture.

  • Wow, it looks like you guys really had a blast! I love the suspension bridge, but I’m also a sucker for a beautiful waterfall! We’ve been saying we want to get out and visit Vancouver sometime…so I’m putting this one on the list for whenever we do make it out there! 🙂

    • Yes I thought the same when looking at the pictures! but it sees to be really strong, originally it was suspended with hemp ropes with a deck of cedar planks, and they replaced those with a wire cable bridge in the early 1900’s. But the bridge was completely rebuilt in 1956, so it’s safe! hehehehe beautiful place to visit!

  • What a fun trip and beautiful photos! Not nearly as beautiful as your girls, though! 🙂
