Mix the flour and salt with the baking powder. Add the butter in small cubes to the flour and work the butter into the flour with the help of a fork. Then add the egg, vainilla and milk, mix until well combined. Form balls, then rolled them into cylinders and flatten into squares, place a piece of the guava paste at one end of the squares and then roll and envelope the guava paste with the dough.
Bake in a 325 F oven for 18 -20 minutes until firm. Do not overcook. Take them out of the oven and let them cool on a rack, while they are still warm rolled the on icing sugar. Then let them totally cool down and enjoy!
