Torta caprese al cioccolato

Torta caprese al cioccolato is a classic Italian cake, originated on the island of Capri, another example of the generosity of Italian cuisine. This is a flourless cake, and is very light and have a great chocolate flavor.

Torta caprese al cioccolato

I tried this Torta caprese al cioccolato recipe, because I thought it would be a healthier and lighter snack for St. Valentine’s. My girls always bake some sweets to share at school and this is a great way of lowering calories without sacrificing taste! The trick is just replacing flour for crushed nuts! the traditional recipe is made just with almonds, for this one I used almonds and cashews. Snacking helps keep us from getting overly hungry in between meals and then overeating at our next meal. So next time you start to feel hungry a couple hours before lunch or dinner, don’t try to wait until the meal.
