Honey Granola

All natural ingredients, not too sweet with lots of nutrients and fiber!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups 300 grams oats (not instant)
  • ¾ cup 75 grams almond flakes
  • ½ cup 45 grams Flaxseed
  • ½ cup 45 grams sesame seeds
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons of the oil of your choice mine is coconut for all his benefits or two tablespoons of butter
  • ½ cup 120 ml maple syrup (preferably a dark amber)
  • 1 cup dried fruit cranberries, cherries, prunes, raisins, figs (optional)

Instructions

  • Pre heat the oven at 300 F or 165 C.
  • In a large bowl mix all dry ingredients together, mix well, then add all the liquid ingredients, make sure all dry ingredients are coated with a thin layer of liquid. Place the mixture in a baking tray with line with parchment paper, bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let it cool for 5 minutes and then pack the granola in an air tight container. Keep it in a fresh cool place, it will be good for 15-21 days.
