Apple cinnamon french toast

Ingredients

  • 8 sliced of bread cinnamon swirl or brioche
  • 4 apples sliced into wedges
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ¼ cups of milk
  • a pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Mix the milk, cinnamon, salt and eggs, beat the mixture with a fork. Reserve.
  • In a sauce pan, put the butter and the sugar, vanilla bean seeds, over medium heat, let that cook for about 10 minutes, add the apple wedges and let them cook for a couple of minutes, then turn off the heat and reserve.
  • Dip the bread into the eggs and milk mixture, and turn them around so the can soak some of the liquid. In a big frying pan ad a tablespoon of butter then two slices of the soaked bread, let it cook over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes per side. Turn it over when it is golden brown.
  • When they are done, plate two sliced of bread, arrange the apples wedges and then spoon over some caramel! you are done! You can add some whipped cream and vanilla frozen custard and turn this into a dessert!
  • Serve right away!.
