These Chimichurri Turkey Burgers are Dominican chimi-inspired, high-protein, and wrapped in crisp romaine. Lean turkey, light salsa golf, and cabbage slaw make this a flavorful low-carb meal.

Ingredients

Burger Patties

  • 1.5 lb ground turkey 93% lean
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper

Wrap

  • 2 iceberg lettuce
  • 2 tomatoes sliced

Light Salsa Golf

  • 2 tablespoon light mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sugar-free ketchup

Crunchy Green Cabbage Slaw

  • 2 cups finely shredded green cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

Mix patties

  • Combine turkey, Worcestershire, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Form into 4 patties.

Cook

  • Grill or pan-sear over medium heat.
  • Cook 5–6 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Make sauce

  • Mix light mayo and sugar-free ketchup.

Cabbage slaw

  • Toss cabbage with olive oil, lime juice, vinegar, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
  • Chill 10–15 minutes for best flavor.
  • This adds fiber, crunch, and balance to the burger.

Assemble

  • Layer 2–3 romaine leaves.
  • Add turkey patty, tomato slices, cabbage slaw, and salsa golf.
