These cheese chips are not only low-carb and keto-friendly, but they’re also incredibly versatile. You can enjoy them on their own or pair them with your favorite dips.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheese: Choose your favorite type—cheddar mozzarella, or even a mix of different cheeses.
  • 2 egg whites: These help bind the cheese and give the chips a perfect crispy texture.

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients

  • Preheat Your Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup.
  • Mix the Ingredients: In a small mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheese and egg whites. If you want to get creative, now’s the time to add in any herbs or spices you love—garlic powder, paprika, or Italian seasoning work great.

Make the Cheese Chips

  • Portion the Mixture: Grease a 24-slot mini muffin pan. Drop small portions of the cheese mixture into each muffin slot, spreading it out as thinly as possible for maximum crispiness.
  • Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10-20 minutes, depending on how browned and crispy you like your chips. Keep an eye on them—they can go from golden to too dark quickly!
  • Cool and Serve: Allow the cheese chips to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. This will help them crisp up even more. Serve them up with your favorite low-carb dip, or enjoy them straight off the tray!

Notes

Choose Your Cheese: Feel free to experiment with different cheeses or create your own blend. Cheddar gives a rich flavor, while Parmesan adds an extra crunch.
Add Some Flair: Spices and herbs can elevate your cheese chips to a whole new level. Try adding a pinch of smoked paprika, a sprinkle of Italian seasoning, or even a dash of chili flakes for a spicy kick.
Different Shapes: Using a mini muffin tin gives you round chips, but you can also use a macaron mat or just drop the mixture directly onto a lined baking sheet for more free-form shapes.
