This Sheet Pan Pork Chops, Brussels Sprouts, and Apples recipe was inspired by my midweek trip to the supermarket, where I decide what fresh produce to use for the coming week's menu. This dish is not only delicious but also incredibly easy to prepare. It's perfect for those busy weeknights when you want something nutritious and flavorful without spending hours in the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops: Opt for bone-in for extra flavor but boneless works too.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil: High-quality extra virgin olive oil for the best taste.
  • 2 apples cut into 6 slices: Choose a firm, slightly tart variety like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
  • 6 bacon strips cut into small pieces: Adds a rich, smoky flavor.
  • 1 onion cut into julienne: Sweet or yellow onions work best.
  • 1 clove garlic crushed: Fresh garlic gives a robust aroma.
  • 1 package 16 ounces Brussels sprouts, halved: Fresh and firm for the best texture.
  • 5 sprigs fresh thyme: Adds a fragrant herbal note.
  • Salt and pepper to taste: Enhances all the flavors.

Instructions

Preheat and Prep:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Grease a baking pan lightly with olive oil.

Assemble the Ingredients:

  • Place the pork chops, halved Brussels sprouts, and apple slices in the baking pan.
  • Sprinkle the bacon pieces, julienned onions, and crushed garlic evenly over the top.
  • Add the fresh thyme sprigs for an aromatic touch.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste and drizzle with olive oil.

Brown and Bake:
